HEIRS OF ALPHA
(for those who seek the light of Alpha Phi Alpha)

The light shaped by an unyielding seven---
and evinced through generations
Who choose to believe;

We offer you access into the bond we cherish---
So open your life and
Prepare to receive.

The greatness ended not at the inception---
But continued to spawn legacies to
Transcend and uphold---

No other sands set aflame to initiate---
Would drape you in the
Powers of the black and gold.

Though a heritage of pioneering and distinction---
Must not rest in the ritual
Nor in its past---

For it's up to you to sustain the legacy---
and scion movements for
Believers to surpass;

In my hand is the key to its vitality---
Packaged with service and love
For humanity---

Although massive--- the gift shall never lay heavy---
If allegiances are pledged
Through humility;

Now close your eyes while carrying the flame---
Then pledge to the challenge to
Forever ignite---

Then you'll too own the legacy of Alpha---
and strengthen the core of
our fraternal light.
